Our Behavior Expectations: A Focus on Character Education

There were so many things running through my mind while I thought about creating this lesson plan. In my Assure Lesson Plan #1, I encountered difficulties, but nowhere near what I had encountered with Assure Lesson Plan #2. In my second lesson plan, I had no idea of what content area I wanted to focus on, I did not know what types of media I wanted to incorporate, and I did not know what I wanted my students to focus on.
The reason why I was unsure of the content area I wanted to focus on was in my previous lesson plan, I had focused on Character Education, which is only being implemented in certain schools on the island, so it was harder for me to let my audience know exactly what I was trying to achieve. So, for this lesson plan I thought: maybe if I focused on a content area more familiar to everyone else, I would not have to face the challenge of having to further explain myself. Although, I felt this way, in the end I stuck to Character Education.
For this lesson plan I only knew of two multi-media types I could use: one for myself, and one for the students. The requirement from the instructor was that we had to use a total of four: two for the students and two for ourselves (the instructor). I had to add an entire section on to my lesson plan in order to achieve using all four multi-media types.
The last part of the lesson plan: putting everything together was the most difficult. I had to ensure that this would be only one lesson plan and that what I was teaching the students was almost just an extension to what they had already learned.
In the end, everything worked out well though. I achieved my lesson plan with a rubric of what I wanted to evaluate my students on. I guess the biggest and hardest part was the incorporation and how technology was the essential part in this Character Education content based lesson plan.
